|King's College, in partnership with Geisinger and PIAA District II, is offering the 2018 NEPA Student Free Heart Screening Clinic. The Clinc will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at King's on the Square, 20 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre.
This free heart screening clinic is open to ALL STUDENTS in NEPA, ages 12 to 19, who are not currently under the care of a cardiologist. All students will receive a free vitals check and electrocardiogram (EKG). For students whose results include the need for additonal testing, echocardiograms will also be provided on stie, free of charge.
The Peyton Walker Foundation was established in honor of Peyton Walker, a sophomore at King's College who passed away unexpectedly from sudden cardiac arrest at age 19. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the #1 killer of student athletes. Every three days a student dies from SCA.
