On July 3rd, the PIAA State Office issued a press release regarding the wearing of masks by student-athletes per the Governor’s order requiring masks while outside.

The Department of Education has released information and guidance addressing the procedures sports organizations and teams must follow to limit the spread of COVID 19 to the extent they are permitted to conduct in-season operations. Preliminary guidance will be updated as more public health data and other information is available.

The Governor has released guidance for all sports premitted to operate during the COVID-19 Disaster Emergeney to ensure the safety and health of employees, athletes, and the public. They can be found in the following link.

Guidance for Sports Operations During the Covid-19 Emergency

The PIAA released on June 10, 2020 the Preliminary School Sports’ Guidance for schools as issued by the Governor’s Office and PA Department of Education (PDE). This information will allow each school to resume voluntary sports’ related activities and to develop their own Athletics, Health and Safety Plan.
