Meeting was convened at 4:20 p.m. by Chairman Majikes
ITEM 1 Chairman Majikes called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

ITEM 2 A motion was made by Ben Tolerico, seconded by Chris Gegaris, to approve the minutes of the January 16, 2019 meeting. All Ayes
ITEM 3 Pat Patte presented the Treasurer’s Report as of today and it reflects a total balance of $237,422.51. That includes the processing of all of the final payments for the fall sports championships. A motion was made by Fred Barletta, seconded by Hal Gabriel, to approve the report as presented. A concern was raised by Joe Farrell regarding the price of tickets for our recently conducted Basketball Championships. Joe was the game manager on a number of occasions and it was the chief concern among fans attending the game. All Ayes
ITEM 4 Bill Schoen led a discussion on the recently approved “pitch count” restrictions in the sport of Baseball. The main emphasis was placed on the fact that the District will ensure that an individual will be assigned for each district playoff game with the responsibility of keeping an accurate “count” of pitches thrown by each pitcher as required by PIAA rule.
ITEM 5 Chairman Majikes reviewed the final power rating standings for boys’ and girls’ basketball for the 2018-2019 season. He also reviewed and distributed a copy of the “media alert” that was prepared for the championships to be held at Mohegan Sun Arena on February 28th through March 2nd. Information for the championships will be reviewed at a press conference to be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena on February 26th at 4 p.m. The press conference will include the announcement of a partnership with Allied Services with partial proceeds from program and sales benefitting the rehabilitation of pediatric patients and the Miracle $1,000 shot one lucky fan will take during halftime of each game. Interview opportunities with PIAA District II officials, players and coaches will also be available at the press conference.
ITEM 6 The Chairman once again reminded the members present of the second annual Mark Rinaldi Memorial Golf Tournament to be held at Pine Hills Golf Club on Sunday, June 23rd at 1:30 p.m. Registration for the event will end on June 8, 2019 and can be made with either Rich Bresser, A.D. at West Scranton, or Mark Finan, A.D. at Dunmore.
ITEM 7 Chairman Majikes also reminded the committee of the scheduling of the 2019 PIAA District II Annual Business Meeting at Arcaro & Genell’s in Old Forge on Thursday, April 11th. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. to be followed by the Business Meeting. An invitation will be sent to all District II member schools.
ITEM 8 Chairman Majikes shared with the committee a “thank you” card from Bill Schoen following Bill’s recent illness. He thanked committee members for their thoughtfulness and care as Bill worked through the last month.
